This vase with all the various stages will have taken 12+ hours to make. There is the preparation of the clay; extfruding the clqy squares; creating the outline shape; carving the pattern, the bisque firing; glazing with all the different colours; and the second firing. In addition to the costs of labour there are other overheads including the more obvious of the clay, the glazes, the crystals, and the two kiln firings.
