Full description
The collective noun for a group of peacocks is 'an ostentation' and this chap is certainly living up to that description. As the title says on the mount board, "If you've got it ....." - (flaunt it).
As usual, it was the pieces of jewellery that sowed the seed for this creation beginning with the jewelled necklace used for the breast, the mother-of-pearl/paua shell heart below it and the head piece. I used metallic flakes and glitter glue to give the head the right colour.
Befitting such a splendid creature, this box frame is big at 52 cm square. The inner frame has been lined with a silver mesh fabric.
This is a unique mixed media artwork and would make a beautiful gift for any sparkle-loving person.
