Carnelian is a warm, orange-red stone, a variety of Chalcedony, a member of the Quartz family.
Used as an adornment by man for over 4,500 years, this stone has come to symbolise health, luck and royalty.
It was prescribed by ancient healers to 'invigorate the blood'.
Green Aventurine, like most green stones, is thought to bring inner peace, tranquility and enhance self-esteem.
It is sometimes called the the Stone of Luck, or the Gambler's stone, as it is believed that carrying a piece of Aventurine in the left pocket will attract wealth and good fortune.
Ambronite is believed to calm anger and promote compassion, and it's honey-yellow colour works well with the greens and oranges of Aventurine and Carnelian.

Colourful necklace in Autumnal shades of yellow, orange and green.
The central natural Carnelian beads are 8mm, and the necklace then graduates through 6mm to 4mm
I have used both smooth and frosted Carnelian and green Aventurine, with smooth beads of pale yellow Ambronite.
The Aventurine beads are a light sage colour, the frosted Carnelian a deep, burnt orange and the natural Carnelian in varying hues of light orange.
The necklace fastens with a Tibetan rose toggle clasp in an antique gold finish.
The clasp is nickel and leas free.
This necklace measures approximately 16.5 inches (42cm).
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
