Full description

My handmade colourful porcelain butterfly brooches are from my porcelain jewellery collection.

These handcrafted brooches are made using porcelain clay and hand-painted with glaze colours in yellow, dark and mid-blue.

All my ceramic creations have been individually handcrafted by me with love and care. No two pieces are the same as each one has its own unique characteristics.

All the porcelain brooches are carefully assembled by hand with a silver coloured pin bar.

What is the meaning of the butterfly? It is primarily associated with symbolism of change and transformation. A secondary meaning is about finding joy in life and lightness of being.

Size: Approx: 3.5cmW x 2.5H

Each jewellery item arrives in a natural-coloured gift box tied with white satin ribbon.

Please select your chosen colour at the checkout.

Colour butterfly pendants on a sterling silver chain are also available in my shop.

Each piece of porcelain jewellery is individually handmade and after the first firing it is smoothed and refined by sanding. It is then glazed and fired again to a top temperature of 1260c in an electric kiln.

Additional Information:

Porcelain is the strongest of all clays. It is fired up to 1260c (2300F) and has a smooth delicate look. Handle it with the same care you would use for all jewellery. It is easy to clean with a toothbrush or damp cloth and will last for many years if carefully looked after.
