Full description
This is my one-of-a-kind tranquil buddha sculptured wall plaque with a red bhindi, and a ruby-red Swarovski crystal drop earring on a gold hoop.
Handmade with raku sculpture clay using the slab and coiling methods. The features have been attached with slip and defined with sculpting tools. It has been bisque fired and gently sanded before applying a red iron-oxide wash with a brush and then carefully sponged off to give definition. Two coats of bright red glaze have been applied to the bhindi before its second firing to stoneware.
A gold acid-free non-toxic ink pigment has been applied to the ears and tightly wound coiled curls to enhance the overall appearance. A ruby-red Swarovski crystal drop earring on a hoop has been placed in its right earlobe.
Size: 24cmH x 17cmW x 8cmD
All my ceramic creations have been individually handcrafted by me with love and care. No two pieces are the same as each one has its own unique characteristics.
