Inspiration
We feel very privileged to have these wonderful birds return to our little corner of Shropshire every year to nest. Their haunting call is wonderful to hear and lets us know that Summer is truly on its way. I wanted to draw this one to commemorate World Curlew Day. A grass roots initiative which champions the curlew worldwide. Curlews face many dangers and are sadly in decline. I wanted to include a chick to symbolise hope for future generations of these amazing birds.
