Amazonite is a blue-green variety of microcline, part of the feldspar group of minerals.
It was prized by the ancient Egyptians, who placed jewellery and carved ornaments made of Amazonite in the tombs of the dead.
It was one of the stones used to inlay the golden mask of Tutankhamun.
It is regarded as a stone of hope, balancing emotions and soothing stress, and is believed to enhance creativity and intuition.

Full description
Pretty earrings, each featuring an 8mm Amazonite puffed heart topped with 5mm and 4mm Swarovski jet bicones, a 4mm Amazonite round and a 3mm faceted Amazonite bead.
The beads are highlighted with tiny 2mm sterling silver spacer beads, and hung from sterling silver ear-wires.
The Amazonite beads graduate in colour from the light blue-green heart at the bottom to a deeper shade for the faceted bead at the top.
The black and silver accentuate the colour, and add a hint of sparkle and shine.
These drop earrings measure approximately 1.7 inches (3.5cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small gift bag.
