Garnet is the traditional birthstone for Capricorn and the month of January.
The common belief that Garnets had the power to shield their wearer from harm made them popular with both royalty and warriors.
In the middle ages it was believed that a dragons eyes glowed red because they were made of Garnet.
It is thought to be a highly protective stone.

Full description
Each dainty little earring features a 4mm Rhodolite Garnet round bead topped with a trio of 3.5mm, 3mm and 2mm faceted Rhodolite Garnets separated by 1.8mm rose vermeil spacers.
They are very lightweight and easy to wear.
Rhodolite Garnet is the type of Garnet that has a dark raspberry hue.
The faceted garnets give a lovely glint when they catch the light.
The beads are threaded onto rose-gold vermeil and hung from rose gold vermeil 18mm hoops.
Rose gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with rose gold.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a lovely wedding accessory, a gift for a bridesmaid, anniversary or birthday, particularly a January birthday as Garnet is the January birthstone.
These earrings measure approximately 1 inch (2.5cm), excluding the hoops.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza bag.
