Mother of Pearl is the name given to the lining or nacre of mollusc shells.
It is a unique combination of minerals secreted by molluscs such as oysters into thin platelets of calcium carbonate that have a width similar to light waves, which gives the nacre an iridescent, shimmering sheen.
A little miracle of nature.
Zircon is known for its brilliance and flashes of light.
These zircon properties are close enough to the properties of diamond to account for centuries of confusion between the two gems.
In the Middle Ages, this gem was thought to induce sound sleep, drive away evil spirits and promote riches, honour and wisdom.
These beads have been heat-treated to a beautiful sunset orange colour.

Dainty bracelet of 4mm cream Mother-of-Pearl beads set with 3mm, micro-faceted, burnt orange Zircon, 4mm Swarovski 'silk' bicones and 2mm gold vermeil rounds.
The Mother-of-Pearl beads are delicate shades of ivory and white, with iridescent flashes of nacre.
The faceted Zircon add a subtle dash of colour and, along with the Swarovski crystals, a hint of sparkle.
The gold star bead is nickel and lead free.
This stretch bracelet measures approximately 6.5 inches (16.5cm), which is a snug fit on my 6 inch wrist.
Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
