Perfect for Summer, this gorgeous floral shopping bag is made from a pair of vintage curtains which I bought to re-cover two sun loungers (see photo). I had lots of fabric leftover and thought they would make lovely summer bags. The Sanderson 'Ischia' pattern features a fabulous mix of pink cabbage roses against a green and blue floral and leafy background. I decided that a pink ticking stripe lining fabric would co-ordinate rather nicely. As the fabric is quite old I cannot guarantee that it might not have the odd mark on it.

PLEASE NOTE This is the last bag available in this fabric and has some 'fold' marks where the hem used to be. I unpicked the hem and let the fabric down, thinking that I could iron out the folds but to no avail! It doesn't detract from the fact that it is a really pretty bag and I have reduced the price to £10 including 1st class postage to make up for this.

The bag is super spacious and will fold up to fit neatly into your handbag, but is large enough to fit all manner of goodies.

It measures approximately 47cm x 37 cm and the straps are long enough to wear as a shoulder bag. I've tried to show it's size in relation to a magazine in the last photograph to give you an idea of just how gloriously capacious it is!

I bought a couple of second-hand garden sun loungers which had very dreary dark green covers, so thought I'd give them a little makeover. As soon as I saw this pair of curtains I knew that they would be perfect for new covers; and also perfect for a shopping bag. I shall be using one of these bags myself this summer, and it's amazing quite how much can be fitted in!
