This series of wall art work, has been inspired by an easily acessed stretch of the local coastline which supports manty species of birds, wildlife and plants, which I am able to observe throughout the year.
Colours, textures and light qaulity, provide endless inspiration and challenge as the seasons change and evolve.

This miniature ceramic art work, depictspart of the local coastline on the Firth of Forth.
Texture and coloured slip are applied when the hand cut terracotta clay slab is still in a damp state.
After an initial kiln firing, glazes and oxides are then applied, before recieving a second firing in the kiln.
The completed landscapes are then mounted onto a hand cut wooden backing made from up cycled salvaged wood, sanded and painted in a warm Urban grey satin wood paint, enhancing the overall colours in the completed art work.
Fully signed by myself on the front and back, these minniature art works look good individually ar as a grouping to brighten up a small space.
