These 'peridot' Swarovski butterflies are a lovely, sparkly spring green colour, that is set off by the yellow of the Ambronite and Swarovski crystal bicones, and the gold of the vermeil.
In ancient times, butterflies were believed to be messengers from the spirit world and were used as a symbol of long life, rebirth and transition.
The butterfly is commonly used in Chinese symbolism to represent joy and warmth.
The Romans associated butterflies with wedded bliss, and in Japan two butterflies indicate that a marriage is blessed.
In Christianity they are a symbol of resurrection, which would make them a good choice as an Easter gift.
