Full description

This stunning fountain pen is made in my workshop besides the beach on Sanday, Orkney. It uses Zebrano (often called Zebrawood) for the body and cap. Zebrano wood comes from west Africa, and is typically used to make decorative veneer, in boat building and skis. The wood is usually a soft cream colour, but this pen has a lovely red-brown tone with the dark stripes in the grain.

The nib is chrome with an iridium tip for durability, and the ink converter is a screw-piston type. Both finials, pocket clip and centre band are chrome, and the finials also feature black accents. The cap has a triple-lead thread, which makes removing and replacing very quick, and the chrome tip section unscrews to access the ink tank for refilling

.

For those who like to know, this pen weighs 48g, is 134mm long with the cap on, and 128mm long with it removed for writing.
