This rustic and unique hand crafted industrial style wood table lamp is made using oak from a retired Scottish whisky barrel (still has the faint smell of whisky). The base is made from part of the barrel lid, cut to a circular shape. The tower has eight sides, cut from one of the oak staves that formed the side of the barrel and set into six uneven layers, the top layer retains the original angle used to secure the barrel lid. I have deliberately left the wood entirely untouched, keeping the original colour and patina of the original stave and retaining the original curve of the barrel. Rust stains are still visible, left behind by the iron hoops that bound the staves together, and the original black scorching on the inside of the wood is also still visible, created when the cooper set fire to the inside of the barrel to seal it. This beautifully decorative table lamp has a cork base to protect your table tops.
The artisan statement lamp has a (UK) mains powered LED element and has a golden brown colour to the glass, complimenting the dark wood, and shines with a lovely restful, warm, orange-red light - a stunning piece of mood lighting. The lamp has a factory-made mains lead, plug, switch and E27 lamp holder.
Each of my lamps is a one-off design, and is truly unique - not another like it in the world.
This lamp is NOT designed for outdoor use. Approximately 200mm wide and 300mm high (incl lamp).
