Full description
A stunning large polished half ammonite with druzy caves, which would be suitable for display, photographic prop, or crafting project. An ideal gift for an fossil enthusiast or collector.
This ammonite is one I have not got round to setting into a crafting project as yet and wondered if there were any budding artisans out there looking for a small project to under take.
Equally it is lovely as it is and could be just added to a fossil collection, I have even seen ammonites set into pictures of models and figurines, I am sure there are many of you out there with plenty of imagination!
The back of this specimen has been carefully smoothed and cleaned, yet left as near to the natural and rustic as possible, but you can clearly discern the sections and has some red iridescence, the front has been very carefully smoothed and polished, so that it is completely flat and wonderfully tactile and allow you to see the inner beauty of the ammonite and has druzy caves in many of the Ammonite sections.
This is quite a large specimen, measuring approximately 108mms in length, approx 85mms in width, with a depth of approx 15mms, measurements taken at the ammonite's widest points.
To safeguard this item during transit, it will come bubble wrapped and in a protective padded envelope or box.
