When looking for an alternative to Emerald to use as a birthstone for May and Taurus, I was delighted to find this beautifully crafted, Emerald green Murano glass teardrop.
Heated glass is hand shaped, then rolled in pure silver foil while still soft until entirely coated.
Green glass is then added and shaped around the silver foil centre to form the drop shape.
The result is almost magical - a bright, vibrant intense colour that seems to glow from within.
Copper really brings out the colour.

Full description
The centrepiece for this necklace is a stunning drop of genuine silver foil Murano glass, in a vivid emerald green, measuring 20x10mm.
Murano glass is crafted by hand on the Island of Murano, 3km north of Venice.
I have topped the drop with a pair of 3mm corrugated copper beads surrounding a 4mm Swarovski 'erinite' green bicone, and threaded them all onto copper wire to form a pendant.
The pendant is set between copper and Swarovski crystal, and 6mm red Tiger's Eye beads.
The Tiger's Eye is embellished on each side with a trio of Swarovski 'erinite' crystals, bracketed with 3mm corrugated copper, adding a bright flash of copper and a sparkle of green.
The necklace graduates to 4mm red Tiger's Eye and 3mm corrugated copper rounds, and finishes with a copper heart-shaped toggle clasp.
This stylish necklace measures approximately 16 inches (41cm), excluding the pendant.
Your necklace will be carefully wrapped in tissue, and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
