"The Dolphin sculpture was based on a memory from my childhood. When I was young I saw dolphins in Nassau (in the Caribbean), where my parents were commissioned to do a sculpture during my apprenticeship. Then later, I was lucky enough to see them in Little Loch Broom in Scotland. Inspired by their play and their incredibly sculptural lines I created my Dolphin sculpture."

Tanya Russell is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors and her sculptures are hand cast by a British foundry. Her Leaping Dolphin ornament will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This casting is a perfect recreation of the original bronze statue and bears the artists signature and its own unique edition number.

How its made: Foundry Bronze refers to the poured molten metal that is cast solid or hollow, depending on size, at a bronze foundry (using the traditional lost wax process). It is more robust than bronze resin and will appreciate in value.
