"This greyhound sculpture is modelled on Malcolm, a retired racing greyhound owned by Printmaker Sue Corke. Sue is the Head of Print at The Art Academy.
Malcolm maintains the extraordinary leg muscles of a racer and has a wonderfully sweet temperament.
I’ve often found that greyhound owners are some of the most loyal owners to the breed. I have a lot of admiration for organisations dedicated to finding ex-racers homes, like Forever Hounds Trust. And I hope that the sport will continue its improvements in the welfare of these wonderful animals."

Tanya Russell is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors and her sculptures are hand cast by a British foundry. Her Greyhound ornament will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This casting is a perfect recreation of the original bronze statue and bears the artists signature and its own unique edition number.

How its made: Foundry Bronze refers to the poured molten metal that is cast solid or hollow, depending on size, at a bronze foundry (using the traditional lost wax process). It is more robust than bronze resin and will appreciate in value.
