"I decided to do a sitting hare sculpture (finally!) after doing RHS shows for three years. I’d listened to all the lovely feedback from visitors and clients and they kept asking for hares. It’s a difficult sculpture to do – so many have been sculpted before. I wanted to strike the right balance with my own style, and the iconic shape of this beautiful creature. While I would love to sculpt a boxing hare, I wanted to begin with something simple and elegant. I wanted it to capture the hare in a moment of stillness, yet show its sharp awareness and potential for movement."

How its made: Bronze metal powder is mixed with a resin to make the Bronze Resin material, which has the appearance of Foundry Bronze metal. This process creates a material that is more affordable and lightweight.
