“This Golden Retriever statue was a commission of a lively young girl called Lexi. She was commissioned as a secret present to the commissioner’s husband, and I had fun with her sitting as she had such a lot of energy. It’s always lovely sculpting a young dog, and Lexi is a stunning girl with a beautiful, classic golden retriever coat. The real challenge was getting her to sit still in the pose that the clients wanted, and keep her tongue from hanging out after all her running about!”
