“The Family of Pigs sculptures was so much fun to make. Pigs have to be one of the best things to sculpt. They have so much character in their shape and expression. I enjoyed creating three pig sculptures which related to one another. Though happily, I think each one works on its own as well. Pigs are such affectionate and intelligent animals, I really wanted to celebrate them by creating this family sculpture.”

Tanya Russell is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors and her sculptures are hand cast by a British foundry. Her Family of Pigs ornament will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This casting is a perfect recreation of the original bronze statue and bears the artists signature and its own unique edition number.
Every one of our bronze animal statues are beautifully packaged with care in tissue paper and our smart, branded Tanya Russell bags. We ensure that all our packaging is recycled or recyclable wherever possible and carbon-offset with tree planting.
How its made: Foundry Bronze refers to the poured molten metal that is cast solid or hollow, depending on size, at a bronze foundry (using the traditional lost wax process). It is more robust than bronze resin and will appreciate in value.
