I love making these little fish. It is great fun watching their expressions and personality emerge from the clay. Each one is truly unique. I make them by throwing on the wheel and then alter the shape while it is still wet - the wetter the clay, the more emotional the fish tend to be ! Finishing touches like piercing the eyes come later when things have firmed up a bit.
Some people think they are singing - but you can decide that. What will you call yours ?

Handmade ceramic fish, shaped from a pot on the wheel.
Each fish has a its own expression and personality.
SECOND - prototype from which the current design has evolved - I tried to mix two glazes that really didn't want to mix, which has given him a rather warty skin. Maybe someone will love him though.
