hand dyed, machine & hand embroidered valentine’s day zombie panda, with handmade textile brooch.
perfect for cynical romantics – hand dyed red zombie panda (she measures 12cm / 4.5 inches from the top of her ears to the tips of her lumpen toes. with her loving arms outstretched, she’s 15cm / 6 inches wide) presenting a stuffed heart brooch (5cm tall) with the text “valentine blah” freehand embroidered on it.
cotton lawn and red cotton fabrics have been hand snipped & appliqued onto a base fabric of hand dyed cotton calico. cheeks, brooches & the embroidered heart on her bottom are in dusky pink.
the details are drawn on with free hand machine embroidery, and further textural embellishments of pretty pustules & silky entrails are hand embroidered in dark red.
panda is embroidered front & back, and has an embroidered heart on her bottom.
panda has been made entirely on a domestic sewing machine – there is no computerised wizardry here - everything is cut, stitched & drawn freehand by me.
zombie panda is made from heavy weight calico. she’s stuffed with polyester filling (CE & BS5852) and finished by hand.
