I saw these coffee jars and the shape of the motif on the side mirrored that of a candle bulb so well I couldn’t resist putting one inside, LED of course because they do not get hot and save on power.

Bring an eco ambiance to your home with one of these quirky table lamps made from upcycled materials - apart from the electrical components. I will make no more than 25 of these popular lamps made by mounting a glass supermarket coffee jar on a wooden base made from reclaimed floorboards from a 30s house. The wood has been sanded and French polished to give a nice protective sheen, but enough patina has been left to show it is reclaimed and there are marks and nail holes etc.
The square jars have moulded elliptical motifs on two sides, which frame the bulb nicely, they have been cleaned and black resin SES lampholders fitted inside holding 4-watt LED candle bulbs. These LED bulbs are very economical to run and give off very little heat so are suitable for enclosed spaces. Power is supplied through 2 metres of black flex fitted with a black inline switch and black UK plug with the correct 3A fuse. These are a limited edition of 25, all basically the same but there will be some slight differences in the wood grain, knots and patina as reclaimed timber has been used.
