Luna the Needle Felted Grey Hare.
Luna was created with 100% wool and wire.
I used a beautiful Grey Shetland from the fields of Suffolk, along with some white and black New Zealand Sheep carded wool for her details. Her chest was created from some super soft BFL curls.
Luna is sitting on a natural wooden slice covered in hand-picked and dried Suffolk moss, with a sprinkling of tiny pieces of Amethyst.
Her whiskers were created with horse tail hair.
Luna is approximately 6 inches tall, including the natural wooden slice.
Hares have always fascinated and inspired me. There are many myths and symbols associated with these amazing creatures throughout history.
I am extremely lucky to live in the sunny Suffolk countryside surrounded by fields. This needle felted hare was inspired by the hares I watch from my kitchen window.
Luna was 100% needle felted and handmade by me.
Although I adore creating my needle felting hares, each one of my creations is One-of-a- kind and will never be the same as another piece.
All my needle felted creations are for decoration only and are not suitable for small children.
