I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things that have been discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Created from ceramic discovered in
Thorsgill Beck, near Barnard Castle July 2021
Re-Created into Pendant September 2022
In July 2021 while out walking Thorsgill Beck that runs into the River Tees, Barnard Castle, Co Durham I came across a small concentration of broken bits of pottery. A common practice of shoring up a river bank is to use crushed household ceramics as hardcore. On this sunny day I found quite a few pieces of plates in one concentrated spot. The pieces were dirty and looked lost in the water for a long time. After soaking some were still stained, others cleaned well and all came back to life.
I found a very stained chunky piece of pottery, brown and white sitting pattern down in the beck. The shard took a long time to dry out and I tried to create a hanging decoration until it broke into 2 pieces. Not sure what to do I put the pottery into my keepsake box, this is where every piece I find and love stays until I rediscover them.
This is what happened in September 2022, every now and then I nose around my trays and start something new. The white and brown is distinctive, I sanded the shapes of both shards exactly as they had broken. Although fairly chunky they make lovely pendants. Front and back glaze in tact, sides sanded and sealed.
Unique, one of a kind and full of history.
The pendant is hanging on non leather woven cord, 44cm plus 5cm extender.
