Full description

A beautiful pair of large polished half ammonites with blue green iridescence and some red on the back, which would be suitable for custom jewellery making, or as two pendants.

This set of ammonites is just a pair I have not got round to setting as yet, and wondered if there were any budding jewellers or artisans who might like these stunning ammonites.

Equally they are lovely as they are and could be just added to a fossil collection, I have even seen ammonites set into pictures of models and figurines, I am sure there are many of you out there with plenty of imagination! I have a few sets of these, so make get one slightly different.

The back of these specimens have been carefully smoothed and polished, showing creamy brown and russet tones, with one where the shell portion remains, showing blue green and red fire tones, yet left as near to the natural as possible, the fronts have been very carefully smoothed and polished, so that it is completely flat and wonderfully tactile and allow you to see the inner beauty of the ammonite with its internal chambers and Ammonite sections.

As these ammonites are two halves of the one original they are matched and each are approximately 36mms in length, approx 30mms in width, with a depth of approx 8mms, measurements taken at the ammonites widest points.

As these are natural fossil specimens, they are robust but not unbreakable.
