A modern animal wildlife oil painting of hippos swimming, a landmark acquisition for a lover of African wildlife
While in the Chewore South in Zimbabwe in late June 2022 I spent a couple of days on the Zambezi and hippos popped their heads up in curiosity as we made our way on the river. Their rough bellows and noise of them munching on the camp grass lulled me to sleep most nights. Their bulkiness on land turns to suppleness as they glide through the water, their hide glistening in the sunlight.
This oil painting is 20 x 16 x 0.5 inches ( 50.5 x 40.5 x 1.5 cm )
The sides of this canvas are white and the work is ready to hang with fittings attached.
A certificate of Authenticity signed by myself accompanies each original.
