This muted pendant features a drop of sustainable surfite bezel set in recycled sterling silver. The surfite has diagonal stripes, a lot of them are clear resin but they are separated by bands of opaque navy, beige, dark red and muted pinky grey. Because of the open back of the setting the colour and pattern of what ever you are wearing will show through the pendant making it look different with each outfit. The pendant measures approx 50mm (inc bail) by 24mm wide, it comes complete with a sterling silver chain but the bail could easily fit a rubber or cotton thong if you wanted to swap it over. Comes in a sleek black box.
Not come across surfite before? Its the name given to layered up waste of epoxy resin that forms during the glassing stage of making surfboards (that's when they cover the foam core in resin), normally this waste material get thrown out but people have started realising that it has a beauty all of its own and recycling it into things like jewellery. This material came from a workshop in California and I have a few more slabettes of the rough if you love the idea of surfite but fancy something else.
