Full description

This summery pendant features an oblong of colourful boatite which is smoothly bezel set in sterling silver. The boatite has a pattern of diagonal wavey stripes in a mix of aqua, blue, orange, sunshine yellow, lime green, grey and white, since the pattern on the back is different I set the piece in a reversible setting so that it can be worn either way round. The pendant measures 47mm long (inc bail) by 18mm wide, it comes complete with a silver snake chain but you could easily transfer it to a ribbon or cord if you wanted to.

Boatite is the aquatic cousin of my favourite fordite - its layer upon layer of paint that built up in a boat yard rather than a car factory. In this case its no ordinary boat yard but the hydrostream speed boat factory, probably in the 70's. This would make a great gift for someone who loves messing about on very fast boats. Comes in a gift box.
