Bookmarks are always popular in my shops. I have been enjoying creating 'snippet rolls' patchwork strips created from left over textile fragments stitched onto a backing strip - in my case usually from upcyled fabric. A portion of a snippet roll was the starting point for this bookmark. Snippet rolls and packs of embellishments will be available in the supplies section of my shop for anyone who would like to stitch something similar.

Full description
This bookmark has been stitched from a portion of a snippet roll embellished with applique, lace ruffle flowers, trimmings and hand embroidery.
A snippet roll was created from fragments of fabric - some vintage, some snippets from other projects and some from embroidered vintage linens. Snippets of lace, fancy yarns and trimmings were used to embellish the patchwork. Hand embroidery completes the embellishment.
The back of the patchwork has been neatened with a panel of white felt. Ribbon tails complete the design.
Length of embroidered panel - 19.5 cm approx.
Total length - 25 cm approx.
First Class postage is included free of charge.
