The inspiration for the design of this clock came from a study and understanding of traditional clock and watch dials and a desire to make the minute and hour markers 'integral' with the 3D woodwork rather than 'applied' or 'printed' as an after-thought. There are many contemporary clocks that do not include hour or minute markers which, in this design, are individually inlaid to dance over 3 dimensional canted frames.
The use of beautiful hardwoods ensure that the clock can be enjoyed like a painting.

This Large Handmade Wall Clock in Burr Madrona and English Walnut is designed to be enjoyed, like a painting, as part of your home or office decor whether you need to know the time or not (!) and is also ideal as a Special Occasion Gift for a loved one.
Madrona (or madrono) is an evergreen tree related to the strawberry tree, with white flowers, red berries, and glossy leaves, native to western North America.
The clock features two clock movements (standard and pendulum) and has the main ‘minute & hour dial’ veneered in burr madrona with a separate walnut ‘seconds dial’ that is turned with a bowl shape and inlaid with markers at 5 second intervals. The whole clock is framed with solid walnut which has 60 minute and hour markers inlaid that are then moulded into a 3D shape. Below the seconds dial is a diamond pendulum made from solid walnut and burr madrona that gives a soothing presence in your room.
This is a feature clock suitable for living rooms, lobbies and offices.
The overall size is 377mm x 377mm x 50mm (14 13/16 x 14 13/16 x 2 inches)
Supplied in a quality white linen texture presentation box.
Simple Care and Hanging Instructions and batteries are included.
