This clock is from my late 2023 Collection of rectangular wooden wall clocks that I have been exploring since the 1980s. The display of time is an integral part of the design (as opposed to ‘applying’ a bought in dial or numerals) and the use of a light coloured sycamore timber with contrasting burr madrone and inlaid striped squares ensures clarity and legibility of the time. With the use of beautiful timbers, my clocks are designed to be enjoyed, like a painting, whether you believe in the existence of time or not (!).

Full description
An original and small elegant Rectangular Pendulum Wall Clock in burr madrone and ripple sycamore with inlaid dots.
This clock is ideal as a Father’s Day gift or to celebrate occasions such as a birthday, wedding, retirement, Valentine’s Day, a house warming party or Christmas. As a small rectangle, the clock can be easily located without taking up much wall space whilst still providing an attractive feature in your home.
The ‘Dial Board’ is veneered with burr madrone and a brown oak backing veneer and is framed with ‘ripple’ sycamore. Inlaid into the Dial are sycamore dot hour markers.
Swinging silently and gently below the Case is a handmade rectangular Pendulum Bob in ripple sycamore with an inlaid and contrasting mahogany dot. The Ivory coloured Pendulum Rod and Clock Hands are also an integral feature of the design complementing the creamy coloured sycamore.
The overall size of the main Case is 198mm x 112mm x 19mm.
The diameter of the Dial is 82mm.
The overall size of the Wooden Pendulum Bob is 58 mm x 37mm x 8mm.
The overall height of the clock including the Dial Board, Pendulum Rod and Bob is 310mm.
