This clock is inspired by designs I have developed since the 1980s (!) where the minute and hour markers are integrated and inlaid into the woodwork and flow over the 3D mouldings (see photos). The use of beautiful wood is also an inspirational factor.

Full description
A designer-made contemporary Round Wall Clock with a burr ash Dial, an inlaid brown oak Bezel and hand stencilled Roman Numerals. Designed to be enjoyed like a painting as part of your room.
This handmade clock is also ideal to mark occasions such as Christmas or a birthday, wedding, retirement, Valentine’s Day or housewarming party.
The outer Bezel was made from a frame of four mitred boards of brown oak (more stable than one solid board), which was then shaped into a circular ring (or bezel). This ring then had 48 minute markers and 12 longer hour markers cut into the inner perimeter of the ring with a fine saw. The saw lines were then filled with contrasting sycamore veneer slips.
When the slips had set, they were trimmed with a stepped quadrant moulding over the ring’s inner perimeter producing a beautiful effect as the minute and hour markers move over the 3D moulding (see photos).
The outer perimeter of the brown oak Bezel was then finished with a large quadrant moulding.
The Dial is veneered with book-matched burr ash with hand stencilled and embossed coloured Roman numerals that match the elegant ‘Pointer’ hands (ordered from Germany) which I sprayed black to contrast with the burr ash dial and match 8 of the Roman Numerals. A blue Seconds Hand matches the XII, III, VI and IX Numerals.
Supplied in a cream linen texture presentation box.
