This clock is from my late 2023 Collection of rectangular wooden wall clocks that I have been exploring since the 1980s. The display of time is an integral part of the design (as opposed to ‘applying’ a bought in dial or numerals) and the use of a golden olive wood with contrasting old ebony and inlaid striped squares ensures clarity and legibility of the time. With the use of beautiful timbers, my clocks are designed to be enjoyed, like a painting, whether you believe in the existence of time or not (!).

A small elegant Rectangular Pendulum Wall Clock in olive wood, old ebony, sycamore and inlaid striped squares.
The clock is ideal as a Father’s Day gift or to celebrate occasions such as a birthday, wedding, retirement, Valentine’s Day, a house warming party or Christmas.
As a small rectangle, the clock can be easily located without taking up much wall space whilst still providing an attractive feature in your home.
The Dial Board is veneered with olive wood and a brown oak backing veneer and is framed with ebony. Inlaid into the Dial are striped ebony and sycamore square hour markers.
Swinging silently and gently below the Case is a handmade rectangular Pendulum Bob in ebony inlaid with olive wood. The black Pendulum Rod and Clock Hands complement the ebony.
An average lifespan of an olive tree is between 300 and 600 years. Olive wood is regarded as high-end and is used predominantly to create smaller, more stylish wooden objects or manufacture expensive furniture. The Indian Ebony used for the hour markers and frame comes from 1980s stock which I still have in my workshop prior to any ebony export restrictions.
The overall height of the clock including the Dial Board, Pendulum Rod and Bob is 315mm high x 110mm wide.
