This No7:2 design originates from a cross back apron I designed for my first range on Folksy, which had long adjustable tie straps. Soon craftspeople asked for custom versions, potters and jewellery makers asked for a split leg skirt and tool loop etc. The set of wide pockets were set at waist height so that they would be easily accessable when the wearer is seated.
Working in my studio in hilly-leafy South-East London, I make aprons in small batches using cotton canvas, denim or drill - fabrics that are natural, washable and durable. Careful attention to detail, strength of construction and beautiful stitching result in a quality of finish simply not possible in mass production. I cut fabric economically, minimising waste and saving the small remnants to make one-of-a-kind bags for my ‘Boro Collection’.

Exceptionally versatile potters/makers work apron – it’s packed with thoughtful design features and constructed using tough cotton canvas in a beautiful ochre colour. The ‘split leg’ feature gives plenty of movement and ensures each leg is covered when sitting at the potters wheel or workbench. This apron features an array of pockets including one with 4 compartments set at waist height for easy access when seated. Comfortable crossback straps adjust to fit across a wide size range and accommodate extra layers in a chilly studio! Thoughtfully designed, beautifully sewn and made-to-last, this apron is highly specialised workwear for craftspeople.
