Influenced by old embroidery samplers.
Loosely based on a little village near where I live. The square has neat little houses each with tidy gardens. They remind me of Beatrix potter illustration and one could almost imaging them being home to bunnies and hedgehogs in aprons.

Full description
A little village square textile art. This little embroidery is sewn onto calico, It is a mixed media picture using coloured pencils, watercolour and tissue paper. It looks like a old fashioned sampler.I have stretched the embroidery on firm card using upholstery thread. See photograph of the back of artwork.
This would be an ideal gift for a new home.
