Unique Handmade Ceramic Soap Dish.
These unique Soap Dish has been hand formed from Earthenware Clay before been decorated with a mixture of Ceramic Underglazes and Slips. This gorgeous colour way consists of soft Teal, Black, Orange, Blue, Yellow, Pink and White.
Once the Dish has received its first hand painted decoration its gets fired in a Kiln to above 1200dc.
However the Soap Dish is still not quite ready. It now receives a top coat of Transparent glaze before returning to the Kiln for a second and final firing.
The dish is gently rippled to allow the soap to sit high, drain holes have also been cut through the clay to allow the soap extra drainage.
The back of the Soap Dish has been glazed , It is here you will find the MatildaBelle makers mark and two raised feet. The Soap Dish measures approximately 12.5 x 9.5cm.
This soap dish is such an unusual design yet will fit so easily into most decors, a lovely piece of Artisan Handmade Ceramics to own or gift.
