These beads are made from reconstituted turquoise, which gives the look of natural turquoise without the fancy price tag.
About 4000 years ago Ancient Egyptians made a form of reconstituted turquoise. It differed from todays product as they didn't actually use turquoise. They used crushed quartz which was then dyed, glazed and heated.
Today, as Turquoise is a fairly soft stone, it is easy to grind it to a powder, add resins and dye and form into blocks. These blocks are then made into beads.
Turquoise is the birthstone for December and Sagittarius.

Full description
Stretch bracelet featuring 4mm x 13mm hematite tubes and 6mm reconstituted turquoise rondelles separated by 5mm Tibetan style spacer beads in an antique silver finish. These are nickel and lead free.
The bracelet measures approximately 7 inches (17.5cm).
The matching earrings measure approximately 1.25 inches (3cm), excluding the wires, and are hung from black metal ear-wires that are also nickel and lead free.
Presented in a small organza gift bag.
