Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.
* I endeavour to represent my pieces as clearly and with colours as true to life as possible, however some slight variations in tone between the image on screen and the piece itself may occur.*
No hag stone of your own to hang up to ward off evil spirits? This print could be just the thing!

This little print was inspired by two particularly lovely stones gathered from holiday walks. It’s always so satisfying to find a heart shaped piece and I just love the idea of the hag stone as an ancient protector; legend tells how only good things can pass through the hole, whereas evil is trapped inside…
Having decided on the simple composition, I transferred my drawing onto a traditional hessian backed lino which I then hand cut and burnished in a rich black oil based ink onto a lovely piece of Japanese handmade paper.
The paper measures approx. 14cm x 20cm with the printed image itself at 10cm x 15cm approx. (roughly A6 size).
Each of this edition of 30 prints is marked as the second variable edition (VE2), is numbered and signed and having been printed by hand, slight variations from print to print will occur; such is the beauty of a unique, hand crafted piece.
Your print will be posted to you in a cello with a back board, ready to present as is or to frame with the mount and surround of your choosing.
Fairly small in both size and price, these prints make a lovely easy to post gift and what lovelier thing to arrive in the post than a little bit of luck and love?
This print is also available printed onto Lokta paper (VE1).
