A variation on the wool flowers which I enjoy stitching on recycled wool fabric and a realisation that they could be 'strung together' to make a bookmark.

Full description
This bookmark is one of a series of four - stitched to try out this design. They were very time-consuming to make and are unlikely to be repeated. It is offered as a 'prototype'.
A pretty bookmark featuring a hand embroidered string of pretty primroses using fabric from an upcycled vintage wool blanket.
Flower shapes were cut from a vintage blanket. Details of the flowers were added by embroidery using cotton threads - some vintage. Each flower was then backed with white felt and blanket stitched around the edge to complete. Three flowers were then stitched together in a chain to form the bookmark.
The bookmark has been completed by the addition of lemon and white checked ribbon tails.
Length of embroidered panel - 12.5 cm approx.
Total length - 18.5 cm approx.
The final image shows a group of similar bookmarks - each listed separately.
