At the moment I have a slight obsession with pebbles!
This is my loose interpretation of a stack of pebbles or stones beautifully balanced in a pleasing arrangement.
I began with a piece of previously painted (with acrylics) paper as the background.
Each pebble or stone is cut out individually from the wax textured and painted paper.
See the last image which shows the paper before the pebbles are cut out.
Then it's a matter of arranging and gluing each piece in place.
My inspiration comes from a Coloricombo challenge on Instagram, playing with colours outside of my usual palette choice. Although here I've gone more for my usual choice of colours, blues and greens with a touch of burnt siena to contrast.
I don't think I've ever grown out of cutting and sticking as a child!! :)
