Hello, my name is Alexandra and I am the printmaker and artist behind MegaLilyDesign.
Thank you for visiting my Folksy shop, I hope that you find something that you like.
If you are local to Sussex and are interested in learning how to create your own linocut prints then please visit my website to see more information about current workshops available.
There is no additional postage charge across my shop at checkout, prints under £50 are sent by first class Royal Mail, prints over £50 are shipped tracked 48hr with Royal Mail, prints over £100 are shipped by courier. I aim to post all orders on the next working day and always within three working days.
If you are buying a print as a gift and you would like it sent directly to the recipient, I can add a handprinted notecard with your message handwritten inside, and a kraft wrapping at no extra charge. Please just add a note at checkout telling me what you would like me to write in the notecard.
Unfortunately I have decided to no longer ship overseas due to the complexities and costs.
I have been meaning to do a little "Pilea" linocut for a while and with one thing and another.....well you know how life is! Then I was given a tiny cutting and have been trying my best to grow one and so I just had to make a print. The Pilea is also known as the Chinese Money Plant and apparently it is thought that if you put a coin in the soil with your plant then it will attract weath.....so I'm just off to find a coin.
This item will be posted to you by MegaLilyDesign Linocut within 3 days of receiving payment.

"Pilea" is created using the relief printmaking method of linocut printing. As each print is created by hand there may be tiny variations which add to the individual beauty of each original artwork. "Pilea" is printed onto Okawara Select 51 gsm printmaking paper from Awagami Factory in Japan.
Linocut is a relief printmaking process where an image is transferred or drawn directly in reverse onto the lino block. It is then carved using mainly U and V shaped gouges into the surface of the lino. Ink is then applied to the block and paper laid onto the inked surface. The paper is then hand burnished or pressed and the print lifted from the block.
