All my drawings and prints are original hand made items and not reproduced as giclee prints.
When I was a child in London, I was often taken to the Natural History Museum, where I was fascinated by the fossils & dinosaur skeletons on display.
In later life I lived in the Westcountry & loved to visit the Jurassic Coast where fossils could often be found during a walk on the beach.
A visit to a long-barrow in Somerset, really sparked off my fossil series of art works. On the portal stone was a large ammonite & in the passageway were stones encrusted with fossil shells,
My work has mostly been inspired by landscapes, but I began to think about the life preserved beneath the surface. It also gave me a chance to play about with form & colour in a creative way.
