Full description
Pheasant cushion. A lovely rectangular cushion in cream fabric with an appliqué pheasant. This design was inspired by a trip to the North Yorkshire Moors where I saw lots of these lovely birds. The pheasant is made from a gorgeous russet patterned brocade fabric. His wing is made from gold fabric with a slight sheen and a raised pattern of white and cream textured spots. I’ve used teal and red fabrics for his head, along with a golden yellow beak and a strip of white felt for the white neck ring. For his eye, I’ve added a white sequin with a smaller black sequin on top. I’ve hand embroidered his legs in taupe thread. The cushion cover has a concealed zip along the bottom and comes with a polyester hollow fibre cushion pad, which conforms to safety regulations.
This lovely country-style cushion would be the perfect accessory for a cosy sofa, and would make a lovely gift - perhaps for a new home. With its attractive pheasant design, it would be perfect for anyone who loves the countryside.
The approximate measurements of the cushion are:
18 inches (46cm) wide x 12 inches (30cm) high.
