This little bird was drawn by hand before being cut out from Eco Silver sheet using a jeweller's saw. She has been textured to add tiny details and polished by hand to give her a beautiful glow.

Dimensions - approximately 36mm x 26mm at highest and widest points

Chain - 18 inch sterling silver belcher

Eco Silver - Eco Silver is produced from 100% recycled scrap silver obtained from the jewellery trade and IT and medical sectors. It is an excellent choice for the eco conscious as it avoids unnecessary mining.

Your pendant will be presented in a little grey gift box made from 100% recycled fibres on a bed of 100% Eco Fibre filling, wrapped in a band of plant dyed raw organic muslin ribbon produced by fellow Folksy seller Earthed.

My soul birds are inspired by Finnish folklore, but also a beautifully sad Christmas song called Varpunen Jouluaamuna (Sparrow on Christmas morning) which became my soundtrack to last December.

The birds are all drawn by hand and are based on images of Siberian jays in flight.

In Finland it is believed that the Sielulintu protects your soul, bringing it to you when you are born and carrying it away when you die. The Siberian jay is a bird most closely associated with the Sielulintu.
