ceramic Owl ornament,porcelain woodland gift.hand made pottery tawny owl decoration.
(British wildlife collection- FOR THE LOVE OF NATURE)
This Beautiful fellow is hand made by me (a one woman show) in my tiny studio pottery in Cornwall.
I use porcelain clay which I press into a mould That I designed and made using plaster.Once the fox has dried a bit I clean and tidy the edges and back by hand and make the hole for hanging.
When they are fully dry they are fired in my kiln at 996c. I then paint them using a colour layering technique, glaze them and fire them again to 1296c, making them glossy and heard wearing.
The finished decoration is strung on a durable rustic wax cord suitable for indoor and outdoor hanging.
Each Owl is hand made and painted so they may vary slightly, making each one unique and individual.
These woodland pottery Owl ornaments would make the perfect gift for any nature lover or wild life enthusiast, to hang in the house or in the garden.
They would make a fabulously alternative Christmas tree decoration as well as look stunning on a Childs nursery wall.(I will be creating a range of animals so keep an eye on my shop)
I try and work as sustainably and responsibly as possible in my field, with minimum to zero waste. most of my packaging is reclaimed or biodegradable (apart from a tiny bit of celotape).I love my planet and the plant, insect and animal biodiversity on it,so I try to make as less of an impact as possible.
