I wanted to make something fun and simple for the festive season from my stash of left over yarn and cord and decided some fun gnomes would be great, so here they are, some with bells, some without, great for mixing and matching or stick with one colour.

Meet Gilbert-a calm, distinguished festive hanging gnome created with a mindful, zero-waste spirit. In a busy textile studio, every small scrap of wool and cut off of cord holds value. Handcrafted by rescuing soft grey wool offcuts from previous projects, repurposed cord for his fluffy beard, a sturdy recycled cardboard core, and a smooth natural wooden bead for his nose, Gilbert gives craft remnants an endearing new purpose.
A little taller than his companions, Gilbert measures approximately 18 cm from the tip of his soft grey hat to the base of his beard, with a total hanging length of around 27 cm including the cord. His gentle neutral tones blend effortlessly into any interior, bringing a cosy, understated touch of seasonal warmth whether hanging from door handles, dresser knobs, mantle hooks, or festive display branches.
Because each gnome is individually shaped and finished by hand from studio remnants, no two are ever completely identical. Each has his own distinct character, soft beard texture, and subtle variations in hanging length, making Gilbert a truly unique piece of eco-conscious home decor.
