Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.
* I endeavour to represent my pieces as clearly and with colours as true to life as possible, however some slight variations in tone between the image on screen and the piece itself may occur.*
The plants in our garden are a year-round inspiration, with ‘September in the Garden’ a celebration of our very own glorious, autumnal haven.

My ‘September in the Garden’ print was inspired by the bounty of plants with their array of shapes, colours, patterns and textures in our garden this autumn.
Having sketched and played with the layout, my final landscape design was drawn onto a traditional hessian backed lino which I then hand cut and burnished in a black oil based ink onto a beautiful handmade Nepalese paper.
The saffron coloured 'Lokta' paper offers a stunning backdrop to my design, with the inconsistencies from paper to paper in terms of thickness and texture an integral part of this print’s charm.
The printed image measures approx. 30cm x 20cm with the paper measuring 38cm x 25cm approx.
Each of this edition of 30 prints is numbered and signed and having been printed by hand, slight variations from print to print will occur; such is the beauty of a unique, hand crafted piece.
Your print will be posted to you wrapped in tissue and rolled within a cardboard tube. On its arrival, remove the print from the tube and allow it time to unfurl. (Lying the print on a flat surface under a heavy book may help to speed up the flattening process – do not be tempted to roll the print in the opposite way as this will almost certainly result in creasing and possibly damaging the print).
Please note that the listing is for the print only; the wooden hanger in the photograph is used purely for display purposes.
