Full description
Krampus is a mythical half man half goat creature originating in mainland Europe. He’s the equivalent of a bad Santa, scaring children who misbehaved!
The mug has been thrown on a pottery wheel in stoneware clay. I use this clay as it is a stronger more resilient clay, making it perfect for everyday functional pottery use.
It features the my personal interpretation of Krampus complimented with stunning black and copper crystal glazes.
The mug was dried slowly once the handle was added over a few weeks. It was then fired to over 1000c, called a bisque firing. It was then glazed and fired again to over 1200c. This is when the magic happens and the glazes run into each making the individual look of the Made With Mud mug.
The mug stands approximately 12cm tall and holds approximately 400ml 14 floz .
The mug is dishwasher safe but not recommended.
I do not recommend using in the microwave.
All my glazes are food safe.
